To Get Started in Polo:

1. Come visit the Black Diamond Polo Club or the Calgary Polo Club to watch a polo match. Please check this website for Black Diamond Polo Club
schedule of play.

2. Take riding lessons. Please see "Contact Us" and call any of the
members listed.

3. Take polo lessons. Please see "Contact Us" for contacts and who to call.

4. Rent horses or purchase a horse for play in regular weekly chukkers!

If you have exposure to horses, or better yet, have ridden or participated in other equestrian sport for a period in your life, you will move quickly into the game after some lessons with the mallet and the rules. If you havn't had much equestrian sport in your life, come out and we will organize your first lesson and once you are hooked there are riding and polo lessons on polo ponies that are available to you.

Please see the contact list for club names and phone numbers of for any questions that you may have. As well, please feel free to come out to the polo pitch at Black Diamond and watch some tournaments or practise chukkers. The times of play are shown under the "Schedule" section of this website.
